downlands compulsory school bags

Downlands adopts best practice policies and the latest information about keeping our students safe and healthy. Just as wearing the College broad-brimmed hat is compulsory when our students are outside, the College insists that students have access to school bags that are fit for purpose and are ergonomically safe for students backs and growing bones.

Students broad-brimmed hats have been selected for stiffness and durability. When treated properly, hats are expected to last at least three years. Any hat that is damaged or presented in less than satisfactory condition must be replaced.

Partnering with parents and insisting that students utilise safe and ergonomic equipment helps ensure that our students are safe, healthy, and happy at school.
