The concept of awarding scholarships will have differing criteria at various schools, but at Downlands we seek to offer the gift of a Downlands education to those students who aspire to be part of our community and who are keen to give something significant back to the College through demonstrated excellence, thereby enhancing established programs and events at the College. Scholarships are an excellent opportunity for students to pursue their academic, performing arts, and all-rounder talents. These scholarships are available for both current and new students who are entering Year 7 or Year 10. It's a chance for students to showcase their academic excellence, performing arts skills, and all-rounder abilities. The 2026 scholarships are now open for applications, providing students with the chance to apply and showcase their talents. 


2026 scholarship applications close Friday 31  January at 4pm, 2025. 


An enrolment application needs to be submitted as part of the scholarship application process.

2. PAY THE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FEE 

Students can apply for multiple scholarship categories, but each application requires an application fee. Payment can be made in cash, by credit card, or through direct deposit. Contact the College at (07) 4690 9500 for payment over the phone.

3. ATTACH SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION

Attach full documentation supporting your child's application, regardless of their school. All applicants must submit a resume detailing academic, co-curricular, and leadership/community achievements, as well as recent reports, NAPLAN results, certificates, awards, and letters of support from coaches/teachers.


4. SUBMIT APPLICATION

Submit scholarship applications via email to [email protected] or submit the hard-copy application at the Secondary School Reception.


5. SUBMIT ENROLMENT APPLICATION 

Submit an online enrolment application and supporting documentation up until the payment stage. 


After the scholarship application is submitted, families must also submit an enrolment application (up until the payment stage). 

  1. Our Principal will review the scholarship application. 
  2. If successful, you will receive a letter of scholarship offer. 
  3. You will need to advise your acceptance of the offer. 
  4. Access your online enrolment application and complete the enrolment payment.
