Downlands is a vibrant community of students, parents and staff who strive to do great things with their one precious life.

Many schools talk about it, but at Downlands, we live our commitment to a strong and vibrant, faith-based community every day. The strong sense of community and friendships forged at Downlands creates a network of support that extends long after graduation.

Parents, family and friends are encouraged to become better acquainted and involved in the College community in a way that matches their interests, talents and availability. Joining and participating in our support groups ensures you a great reward as you embrace the school community. It provides you with the opportunity to network with other business people, make new friends, become familiar with your child’s College and most importantly feel a part of this warm and significant community.

Legally Blonde: The Musical, a Downlands College production, brought to you by ATOM Constructions. After the successful presentation of The Addams Family in 2022, we can't wait to showcase our students' talents once again. The story of Legally Blonde follows Elle Woods, who faces stereotypes, snobbery, and scandal in pursuit of her dreams. When her high school boyfriend, Warner, claims she's not "serious" enough for him and goes to Harvard, Elle takes matters into her own hands. She crafts a showy song-and-dance personal essay and charms her way into law school. Along the way, she befriends classmates Emmett and spunky hairdresser Paulette. As Elle begins to outsmart her peers, she realises that law may be her natural calling after all. This year, Downlands College is taking a monumental leap by integrating a live orchestra and cutting-edge video projection technology for set designs, promising an unparalleled theatrical experience. The inclusion of a live orchestra in the Downlands College musical marks a significant advancement in the level of performance that school productions can achieve. This move not only enhances the auditory experience for the audience but also provides a professional-level platform for our student musicians. The live orchestra will bring depth and richness to the musical score, which is rarely experienced in school settings. DATE & TIME: Friday 24 May (10:30am & 7pm) and Saturday 25 May (7pm) LOCATION: The Empire Theatre, 54-56 Neil Street, Toowoomba City QLD 4350
