Teaching and Learning Year 7 to 12 Term 1 News
I wish to take this opportunity of providing parents and carers with information concerning teaching and learning for the remainder of Term 1 and the commencement of Term 2. The following is covered: Assessment Block, Interim reports and Parent/Teacher Interviews.
Assessment Block – Year 11
Assessment block will occur from Tuesday 10 March until Tuesday 17 March. Students and parents received the assessment block letter and schedule during Week 4. All students are required to fully meet their assessment obligations, including examination obligations. Students are unable to complete assessment prior to the cohort. If your child is ill and unable to attend an exam, then I would request that you contact the College prior to the commencement of the exam and a medical report will be required to be handed in to the Team Leader of Secondary Studies – Ms Peita Canning.
Students who have SAT/SBA’s may need to reschedule their work placement day to ensure their examination commitments are met. After the completion of the Assessment Block, learning will continue until Thursday 2 April 2026.
Assessment Block - Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and Year 12
Assessment block will occur from Monday 23 March until Tuesday 31 March. Students and parents will receive the assessment block letter and schedule during Week 6. All students are required to fully meet their assessment obligations, including examination obligations. Students are unable to complete assessment prior to the cohort. If your child is ill and unable to attend an exam, then I would request that you contact the College prior to the commencement of the exam and a medical certificate (Years 7 to 10) or medical report (Year 12) will be required to be handed in to the Team Leader of Secondary Studies – Ms Peita Canning.
Students in Years 10 or 12 who have SAT/SBA’s may need to reschedule their work placement day to ensure their examination commitments are met. Year 12 students are expected to attend only when assessment is scheduled. After the completion of the Assessment Block, normal College routine will continue until Thursday 2 April 2026.
Interim reports - Year 7 to 12
All students in Year 7 to 12 will receive an Interim Report at the end of Term 1. Reports will be available in Parent Lounge and Student Café from Thursday 9 April from 3 pm.
Parent/Teacher Interviews – Year 7 to 12 Monday 20 April
Parent/Teacher interviews will be conducted face to face on Monday 20 April from 2pm to 5:30 pm for students in Year 7 to 12. Bookings for these interviews will open to parents on Thursday 2 April 9am. Bookings can be made through Parent Lounge and by clicking Parent Teacher Interviews on the right-hand side menu, then listed on the main page will be the Parent Teacher Interviews applicable to you. By clicking the relevant Parent Teacher Interview link this will take you to the page where you are able to book interviews for your child’s teachers.
