Inaugural Year 4 Cohort - Fourth Generation Downlander

January 30, 2019

Walking in her ancestor's footsteps, fourth generation Downlander and member of the inaugural Year 4 cohort, Maggie McNamara, commenced at the College on Wednesday 30 January.

Maggie's mother Catherine Crumpton née McCullagh graduated from Downlands in 2003.

"I was so thrilled when I got the email to say they were starting at Year 4," Mrs Crumpton said. "It's a nice feeling to be back, it's kind of like coming home. It feels like I've never left. I found my confidence here, so if that is all Maggie takes away I'll just be so happy."

Maggie's grandfather Timothy McCullagh (74-78) boarded in Mooney Wing, site of the new College Junior School and her great grandfather Cyril McCullagh (42-44) also attended Downlands.
