Teacher of Food and Nutrition and Food Technology and Teacher of Digital Solutions, Information, Processing and Technology and Information Technology/Mathematics 

Due to an increase in enrolments the College is seeking applicants from qualified teachers registered with the Queensland College of Teachers for two permanent positions commencing January 2019.

Teacher of Food and Nutrition and Food Technology 

Qualifications to teach Food and Nutrition in Years 11 - 12 and Food Technology in Years 7 – 10 is required. A willingness to teach Religion Education would be advantageous.

Teacher of Digital Solutions, Information, Processing and Technology and Information Technology/Mathematics
Qualifications to teach Digital Solutions, Information, Processing and Technology in Years 11 - 12 and Information Technology and Mathematics in Years 7 – 10 is required. A willingness to teach Religion Education would be advantageous.

Teacher of Years 4 and 5

Due to an increase in numbers at the College we are seeking applications from qualified middle/upper primary teachers registered with the Queensland College of Teachers to commence January 2019 for a 12 month contract.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Experience teaching middle/upper primary
  • A strong commitment to excellence in education and a proven capacity for innovative, flexible and reflective teaching practice
  • Ability to create and implement programs using the National Curriculum 
  • Ability to teach Religious Education
  • Ability to differentiate the curriculum to cater for diverse learning needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with the use of ICTs in the classroom
  • Awareness of the AITSL Professional Standards and their relevance to effective teaching and learning

Downlands College requires a number of teachers to join our “supply teacher” list.

We are seeking experienced teachers of students in Years 4 - 12 and who are willing to work on a casual basis.
