The Girls Rugby Sevens program at Downlands is designed to foster the personal growth of all students who participate. There is a place for all in Downlands rugby, whatever one's level of skill. Honest endeavour and good sportsmanship is highly valued, commended and celebrated.

In 2017, Downlands will field U14, U16 and U18 teams in the South-West Sevens Series competition. This competition is growing in both participant numbers and reputation and is well supported by other local schools and clubs.
All training is conducted at Downlands after school on a day to be decided. Teams will be notified of their training times prior to the commencement of the season. Specific Rugby Sevens Skills Clinics and Workshops will also be organised in the second part of Term 3 and promoted to all girls.

Any student, male or female, who attends either home or away games is expected to be dressed in full winter uniform, including hat.
Sevens Players - Rugby jersey, shorts and socks. Mouthguard – compulsory. Headgear – optional.
Team registration is included in your College fees.
