In true MSC spirit, we want to help change the life of young individuals who would benefit from a Downlands education and would not have the opportunity to attend Downlands under normal circumstances. An education at Downlands will allow young people to experience a diverse curriculum; extensive co-curricular activities; a heart-centred ethos; a nurturing pastoral care program; and to be part of a thriving and distinctive community.
Opportunities are currently available for interested individuals and organisations to contribute to an existing Bursary, or establish your own Scholarship or Bursary.
All such donations made to the Downlands Foundation are tax deductible.
Difference Between a Scholarship and Bursary
Scholarship - A grant or payment provided by Downlands College to a student to promote or further the student’s education at Downlands College and awarded on the basis of merit or on equity grounds. A scholarship may be awarded on the basis of Academic, Performing Arts or other achievement. Scholarships are offered to prospective and current students at Downlands College.
Bursary - A grant or payment provided by Downlands College to a student to promote or further their education at Downlands College and awarded on the basis of a selection criteria inclusive of the case where an applicant has some financial hardship or other disadvantage and cannot afford to pay the full fees at Downlands College. Bursaries will be offered to prospective and current students at Downlands College.
Upon a student's successful application, funds from the relevant Scholarship or Bursary will be paid directly to Downlands College.

Whilst we have faith in the enriching experience our College provides, so do our families.
Our daughter has only just started at Downlands, but we have already enjoyed the lovely welcoming atmosphere, kindness and hospitality by Downlands staff and students. Thank you!
Hetherington family, Longreach, Queensland
Our boy loved his first year at Downlands – Year 7 in 2015. He has made a great group of friends. He always feels safe on the Downlands grounds, and we feel safe that he is in the hands of his peers and teachers and staff at Downlands, even when we collect him late after sport. We love the opportunities he has had to explore different areas in the curriculum, as well as the Maths Extension.
